Here is a study in the BMJ – British Medical Journal about the impact of new age video games and children’s fitness. Click the image below and give it a read.

“Wii Sports bowling (190.6 (22.2) kJ/kg/min), tennis (202.5 (31.5) kJ/kg/min), and boxing (198.1 (33.9) kJ/kg/min)”
While the conclusion says not enough…to completely be the only source of fitness.. the reality is it’s a beginning, a start in the right direction. Play it more. Play new games. Player harder and the calories burned will increase.

Hi All,
Amazon just modified their “limit” policy for the Wii Fit (see below for text). Judging by the response around the world, these could be the next hot Ebay Item. Nintendo has upped production for the release (MAY 21st).
So, Buy TWO .. one for yourself and one for Ebay
(shameless advertising)
Wii Fit Purchase Policy
As you may know, the Nintendo Wii Fit is in great demand, and there are shortages of this product across the U.S. In an effort to provide as many customers as possible with the opportunity to purchase a Wii Fit, we are limiting the total number of Wii Fits that can be purchased. As a result, each household may only purchase up to 3 Nintendo Wii Fit units total.
Failure to comply with this policy will result in account actions including, but not limited to:
- Cancellation of all outstanding orders, including Wii Fit orders and other orders.
- Closure of the offending customer account and related accounts, including:
- The customer account used for making purchases and selling items on Amazon.com Seller accounts
- Any international accounts at Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, or Amazon.co.jp
- The Your Media Library account area, including any digital products you may have purchased
