Best $100 fitness investment August 31, 2010

I've been lifting weights for 30 years and was a bit skeptical that these things can work. I got the Terrell Owens version and must say that this is the best $100 that I've ever spent on fitness. These things will give a great burn. I've used them for biceps, triceps, chest, and shoulders and all are great. I have not yet tried them for legs or back.

Great for P90X August 26, 2010

I recently purchased the bands for use with P90X, and after using for several weeks, they have been great! The ability to interchange and add/subtract resistance is very helpful when changing exercises. I also travel extensively, and the portability is great while trying to maintain a workout routine in a hotel room.
Although the bands cannot substitute free-weights, they are excellent for people that do not want to spend the money on mulitple sets of weights, and for those who want portability.

the bands were exactly what i needed
i just purchased p90x as well and they
work great together and i wanted
to buy bands that were easy to use and
easy to switch weight on. i researched
free weights and they were to expensive
and i had also researched bowflex dumbells
but also to expensive. for a good mix of weights
i would have had to spend over 200.00 dollars
if i would have went with free weights or
the bowflex dumbells. so i researched good quality
bands and the bodylastics bands came up.
i have to say that it gives great resistence
it comes with so many extra straps so you can
work out your legs and it also comes with door anchor
to do back exercises which works great.

i like the fact that the handles can have multiple
bands connected to it the bands them selves have carabiner
clips so its easy to add more bands to the handles and
the carabiner clips have what weight it is engraved on the
carabiner clip so again it is easy to add more weight while
you are excersising

i highly recommend to buy them one of the problems
that people have with conventional bands is that they
are either only one weight so if you want more resistence
you have to buy another band or if you can switch weights
on a band it is very difficult to do so with the bodylastics
bands it is made to add and decrease weight just like free
weights by removing bands or adding bands to add weight or
decrease weight just like you would with free weights.
the great thing about the bands its that it comes in a set
so you get a great mix of weight.

Absolute best resistance bands you can find August 9, 2010

I have been a fan of using resistance bands since I completed my first round of p90x. Although I didn't use their brand, I found I got a great workout with them as well as other benefits that weights couldn't offer. I purchased the TO strong man edition bands because I was looking to have as much resistance as I could handle and them some. With the bodylastics different levels of resistance (5-30 pound resistance bands) as well as the system that allowed you to clip multiple bands,I was able to, you're able to find resistance levels equal to weights pretty easily. Plus with all the benefits that come with it including the nutrition guide, the strength band university membership, the bag, and all the straps and handles you are really getting your money's worth. The best thing though besides the bands is the live [...] stuff, which has new workouts for cardio, muscle building piates and specific sports daily, all for free. The only negative that comes to mind is the latex allergy that people have mentioned before. That being said, this is an amazing system that anyone can use!

Very solid workout from these bands. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I too am a believer now. It takes a bit to get used to basing workouts on colors, but all I know is I can feel it when I'm done. The cords come with weight increments, but I they seem to be underestimated. I like them because I can use them at home and take them on the road in their handy carry case.
