4 out of 5 stars Fun with the Perfect Shot Gun   January 5, 2009
Mixdblood (New York, NY, USA)
I bought two of these to use with House of the Dead 2/3. I find it very fun to use with both single and double wielding. The weight of the gun is more realistic. In ease of use, I find it more challenging to use than with the remote alone. The weight definately makes it more difficult to keep you arm up, and aiming is also more difficult. The spring loaded trigger also make your trigger finger tire much faster. This does, however, add to realism, and overall challenge if you are looking for it. Overall I give them a good rating for fun, realism, as well as for great price.

1 out of 5 stars not enough games...   January 2, 2009

I bought this gun thinking that it will work with RE4. I can confirm for the xxxth time that it does not. There are too many limitations for this gun for any recommendation at all.

There's just not enough games out there.

Do not buy.

I read reviews saying it worked with Resident Evil. Well it doesn't with RE4. So buyer beware.

4 out of 5 stars More head shots = more zombie brains   December 30, 2008

I got a pair of these to use with House of the Dead 2 & 3, and they are a lot of fun. The game is more fun with a gun in your hand, and the accuracy is much better. Calibrating the remote was also easier with the perfect shot guns than just using the Wii remote on its own.

As for drawbacks, the guns are a bit heavy and so your wrists do get tired, and even pulling the trigger takes more effort than the remote alone. I know that sounds silly, but when you are blasting away at thousands of on-coming zombies, you need all of your strength. It also makes it more difficult to use the other buttons on the Wii remote, but as they don't come into play that often with House of the Dead that hasn't been too much of a hindrance. It is also worth noting that you have to strip your remote to use the guns, which means taking off both the gripper and the wrist strap.

I finished "House of the Dead 2 & 3" pretty quickly with these new guns, so now I am on the hunt for a new game I can use them with. Some drawbacks aside, the Perfect Shot guns are a lot of fun and I definitely look forward to using them with some new games.
